Wanda Henschel

My name is Wanda Henschel (she/her). I´m 24 years old and currently finishing up my studies in Dance in Education (Docent Dans) at the Academy for Theatre and Dance Amsterdam, where I am developping as a dancer, choreographer and teacher. Right now I’m busy with internships, mostly teaching at asylum-seekers` centers but also with other projects as a teacher, choreographer and dancer. Im also getting to know the production side of things and now started a new project with DOX. 

In my work the interpersonal connections make all the difference for me and let me feel grateful and touched. 

Besides the dance-bubble I enjoy going to indipendent cinemas, playing soccer, hanging out with friends and my lovely french roommates, exploring the city, reading, cooking and of course music.  

At the DOX Club I’m curious to gain knowledge, on a theoretical and physical level, and develope more as a perfomer. I find other disciplines besides my own, like textwork quite scary and vulnerable, so it’s been good so far to challenge myself in this interdisciplinary work.
