Hey, I am Sasha.

I'm going to the dance Creative college 3rd year, used to be a dance teacher back in Ukraine to make change with dance Dance!

DOX Club is going to help me with combining different art forms with dance, social skills and networking!

My inspiration is music, because it moves everyone on this planet

My tip for the world: peace and empathy, awareness.

Sasha will soon present her first step in the journey of combining theater, movement and painting. A dynamic dance performance called “BluePrint” executed by Haron Muamba will take place during the DOX Summerspecials 10/11 May 2024.

BLUEPRINT

“Blueprint” is a dance performance, choreographed and directed by Sasha Pak, where you will witness Haron Muamba going on a cathartic and challenging path for finding freedom.

Complex and dynamic movement followed by the texture and the color of the paint, serving an endless purpose, leaving the traces on canvas, body and clothes. Eleutheromania is an intense and irresistible desire for freedom. But what is freedom? What does it mean to be free? At what cost? And where is this strong urge coming from?

Those are the questions that are vital and have impacted the creation of this piece. The character will take you on a journey of transitioning, expressed with the flow, articulation, strength and curiosity. The interpretation is open for an observer, whatever feelings and thoughts may rise, shall rise. Are you ready?

Biography

Sasha Pak is a 19 year old performer, choreographer and maker from Ukraine who is currently based in the Netherlands. For the past 2 years she has been actively discovering the versatile Dutch dance scene in every corner, such as battles, choreography workshops and theatre performances.

Recently Sasha developed her artistic potential with graphic design and illustration. Currently, her aim is to merge those art disciplines and show the richness of this combination.

As an “artist”, in every meaning of this term, she deeply values honesty and authenticity, but also the importance of acknowledging and using the space given for creators to bring the urgent topics to the table and express the complexity through the art form to the room full of eyes and ears.

Currently in her last year of the dance education at Creative College, Sasha carries a valuable amount of experience and lessons from many incredible educators and choreographers, such as Senna Amarnis, Hassani Le Couvreur, Luciano Hiwat, Dalton Jansen and Rosa Thomford. After graduating her vision is to create opportunities for exchanges to happen, blending the boundaries of art disciplines, uniting communities, guiding and also doing a lot of research, learning and experimenting.
