Queri

As a multidisciplinary artist, Queri is drawn to what exists beneath the surface, the things we feel before we understand them and the questions that quietly shape who we are and how we connect. 

She is particularly drawn to contemporary and modern performance, where movement can speak when words fall short. Her work explores the more melancholic and introspective parts of being human like identity, love, loss and impermanence. She also displays a profound awareness that everything is always shifting and evolving. 

For Queri, an idea should never become empty. She follows an impulse and digs until something starts to breathe. Through storytelling she gives what lives inside her a form that others can enter, feel and interpret for themselves. She sees art as a way of giving life. But also as a way of giving something back. 

Nature is like her muse. She is inspired by its contradictions and often personifies the natural world to show all of its multitudes. She sees human nature as part of that same ecosystem. We move through our own seasons too after all. 

Her practice lives between instinct, intuition and discipline. She values precision, repetition and the quiet work behind mastery. With an athlete’s mindset, she keeps showing up and starting again when necessary.  

Ultimately, Queri wants to create work that connects people back to something real. To themselves. To each other. To the world around them. And to the feeling that anything is possible if we shift into our own flow.
