Mariangel De Abreu (2005) is a Venezuelan-Portuguese contemporary dance artist. She immersed herself in the world of dance at Escola de Dança do Funchal in Madeira Island, Portugal, studying ballet, contemporary dance, theatre, and singing.

She began her professional path with Ballet Júnior da Madeira, performing in pre-professional works under choreographers such as Aymeric Aude, Inês Pedruco, Miguel Ramalho, and Filipe Narciso. Later, she joined Dance in Art Junior Company in the Netherlands, performing “IN MOTION” by Marlie Salomé, “5 Stages of Grief” by Martine van Santen, and “Fragments of Letting Go” by Gabriela Carrera.

Now based in the Netherlands, Mariangel combines freelancing with her work at NDC-DOX Club. While rooted in contemporary dance, she is open to exploring other art disciplines. Her work consistently seeks to create genuine emotional connections, inviting audiences not just to watch, but to feel.

Mariangel embraces exploration, presence, joy and love in every step of her creative process. This year, she is focused on deepening her artistic voice within DOX Club.
