Lotte

Lotte is a queer multidisciplinary artist who takes the stage with fire and confidence. Under the artist name REDXMPTION, Lotte creates powerful fantasies and hopes to inspire others in their own sexual liberation through sensual performances that are vulnerable and deeply political. Their main disciplines are dance, including sensual heels, floorwork, burlesque and stripping, and writing. As a writer, Lotte creates spoken word pieces and monologues for both their own performances and those of others.

Lotte is deeply inspired by queerness, nightlife and eroticism, and believes that fighting stigma starts with open conversation and holding space for each other’s stories. Their main research question is: “How do we end the stigma on mental health & sexuality and create spaces where vulnerability is celebrated?” Lotte has found that community and education are at the forefront of reducing stigma, and aims to one day build more educational spaces focused on safety and inclusivity.

At 13 years old, Lotte started songwriting. Now, almost eight years later, they write poetry and spoken word about topics such as social issues and self-love. After finishing their Social Work studies, Lotte felt it was time to learn how to take care of themselves and found self-love in their artistry.

After working with makers Winston Arnon and Nina-Elisa Euson on the show DAAR WAAR WOLKEN SAMENKOMEN, Lotte hopes to further develop their dance and multidisciplinary acts.
