“I will never stop creating, because I will never stop feeling.” 

Elena (August 7, 2000) is a performer and dancer born and raised in Athens. From a young age, she immersed herself in the world of the arts, playfully exploring every form she could get her hands on. Moving between painting, writing, and singing as a child, she eventually graduated in Contemporary and Ballet Dance in 2021. 

She continued to explore her artistic abilities and needs as a freelance dancer in Berlin, while also attending creative writing workshops throughout her time there. 

Her practice is rooted in the belief that a human being cannot be defined by a single thing. We can be many things simultaneously; to define is to limit.  

Elena believes that emotion is the root of all movement. In her work, she is drawn to the contrast between sensibility and a world in which emotional detachment and nonchalance are often encouraged and celebrated. For her, feeling is the primary motive behind creation, both the starting point and the destination. 

Elena is currently based in Amsterdam and is part of the DOX Club, where she continues to broaden her boundaries within performance and theatre. She is forever a humble practitioner and student, continually amazed by the ways in which different art forms intertwine. 

She dreams of a reality in which excessive emotion is not labelled as weakness. Through her work, she hopes to invite others into this reality as well.
