Clarissa Di Tirro

I am Clarissa Di Tirro (she/her), born in 1998, an Italian dancer currently based in the Netherlands. I trained professionally at Officina delle Arti in Italy (2020–2022) and continued for two years in the Junior Company (2023–2024). I moved to the Netherlands to explore, challenge myself, and grow through experience. My movement moves between contemporary research and urban influences, recently bringing sharper, grounded, and playful energy into my practice.

Being a dancer means knowing your body deeply, strengths, limits, and potential, to develop an authentic language. I explore how to transform fragility into power, tension into flow, and instability into balance. I love turning physical effort into pleasure, pushing the body beyond limits while staying connected to sensation. Vulnerability and strength feed each other, and it is in that space I feel most alive. I also experience a deep, intuitive connection that guides my movement beyond the physical.

Perseverance shapes my path. I am drawn to physical and mental challenges, processes that demand honesty and commitment. Every experience becomes part of my language.

Since arriving in the Netherlands less than a year ago, I have been building my path step by step, staying open to opportunities in different forms. Through Dox, I want to refine an authentic voice, continue experimenting, collaborate, and evolve as a performer, creator, and future teacher. I want to explore movement honestly, without limits, and see where this journey takes me.
